Have you ever seen a rainbow
or watched a setting sun?
Gazed up at the stars at night
when a lonely day was done?
Have you walked along a meadow
and picked flowers growing wild?
Listened to a bird in spring or hugged a tiny child?
When God created all of these
there was no greater love
Than what he must have felt inside
Twas a gift from up above.
Oh, I have seen the rain dance
on my window sill,
And I have smelled the fragrance
of a honeysuckle hill.
I've met a lot of people
and I've walked a lot of miles,
I've wiped a lot of tears away
and shared a lot of smiles.
Yes, I've met a lot of people
that have touched my life, and yet...
Only one has touched my soul
and I never will forget.
For this man that I am speaking of
His face I've never seen,
Only in the pictures that have
graced my computer screen.
I've never looked into his eyes
nor touched his face so fair,
I've never held his hand in mine
nor brushed back a lock of hair.
But I have felt his presence
each time the wind does blow,
And I can feel his love for me
Whereever I may go.
You see, our hearts have shared their dreams
Our souls have dared to soar,
Unto a place so magical
No one has gone before.
Yes, I am sure that God made the world
and thought no greater love,
Could ever exist than when he created
the heavens up above.
But fate stepped in and said, "Hold on...
Here's a destiny so great...
The miles and miles between them
will never hinder fate."
And so one night we met online
the meeting was by chance,
We laughed, we shared, we talked so long
Our hearts began to dance.
That was many nights ago
Our lives continue as before,
Only now a special feeling
Makes life's pleasures seem like more.
I hear his voice, I see his smile,
He's become a special part,
Of all I do and all I say,
For he lives within my heart.
Although he's not beside me
I can reach to where he is...
Our hearts have touched, our souls have soared,
There's no greater love than this.
