SMILE

Today, I smiled again,
 Because, i've met a special friend,
 You came to me out of the blue,
 My unspoken words, somehow, you knew.
 
 Today, I smiled again,
 Something I haven't done in a while,
 You have sparked something in me,
 Something, that makes all of me smile.
 
 Today, I smiled again,
 I am set free from the past,
 With you is where I want to be,
 My dreams are now within my grasp.
 
 Because of you, I am happy,
 You are a dear and special friend,
 I hope I am not sounding sappy,
 Because, today, I can finally smile again.
